A man arrested with toy gun
Constable Thabo Malatji, from the Yeoville SAPS, said the suspect was traced to a few blocks away.
A man was arrested for pointing a firearm and for being in possession of a dangerous weapon.
The arrest was made in Yeoville on Saturday, November 22, at the corner of Minors and Grafton streets.
The victim was working at a construction site when the suspect approached him. The suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to shoot him. The victim ran away and alerted the police.
Constable Thabo Malatji, from the Yeoville SAPS, said the suspect was traced to a few blocks away.
He was arrested and toy gun was found in his possession.
He is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon.
