Sharp-eyed officers arrest car thieves

Two car thieves were arrested in Greenstone, along Modderfontein Road, on Tuesday, February 10.

According to the Sebenza SAPS communications manager, Constable Sharon Mahamba-Tsotsotso, the suspects stole a white Toyota bakkie outside the premises of a company along Mopedi Road in Sebenza.

Const Tsotsotso said Sebenza SAPS officers were on patrol in the area when they spotted a suspicious vehicle. The officers contacted contacted their colleagues for backup and a chase ensued.

Two warning shots were fired when the police finally stopped the vehicle.

The suspects were arrested and detained at the Sebenza SAPS.
