20 injured in taxi accident
A collision between a taxi and panel van on Tuesday morning last week, left at least 20 people injured.
ER24 paramedics from the Johannesburg South branch arrived on-scene and found a panel van lying on its side in the middle of the road. A taxi lay a few metres away in the bush.
On inspection, paramedics discovered that 20 people had sustained minor injuries. No one sustained any serious injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
It is understood that the tyre of the taxi had burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Local authorities were on-scene for further investigations.
