The Modderfontein-based, handmade ice-cream brand, Wicked Cream, was launched a year ago.
To celebrate its one year anniversary, owners Philip and Kimbal Maré decided to raise their scoops for a good cause.
Wicked Cream matched every scoop donation, and 643 scoops of ice-cream was raised to give away to children’s homes around Johannesburg.
In addition, R10 000 was kindly donated by corporates, CTS, Honingcraft, Kappa Engineering and Moser.
The Wicked Cream employees, along with a few volunteers, recently visited Little Eden in Edenvale.
Little Eden caters for children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities.
190 scoops of ice cream was donated to Little Eden.
The Little Eden ice-cream handover was done in memory of 18-month old Abigail Katz.
