Reddam beats Gauteng schools in Easter egg collections

For the eighth consecutive year, Reddam House Bedfordview has collected and handed over the most Easter eggs, of all the schools in Gauteng, to various charities.

This year a total of 37 579 Easter eggs were collected and delivered.

Reddam’s drive is spearheaded each year by pupils serving on the Johannesburg Mini Council.

Their task is to co-ordinate the efforts of school management, and the generous donations of parents and pupils across all phases of the preparatory school, to gather as many Easter eggs as possible for worthy causes.

The school’s facilitator of the Mini Council representatives and Preparatory School teacher, Mrs Sharon Hendry said, “While we are proud of the achievements of everyone who participated in this exercise, our pupils and parents get involved each year purely out of a desire to help others and there is no tangible gift or prize received by the pupils.”

Over the past eight years, Reddam House Preparatory School has collected and distributed 294 840 Easter eggs.
