Ekurhuleni water conservation roadshow

The roadshow, held under the theme “Be the Hero, Save Water”, aims to encourage communities to get involved in the fight against water loss and to reduce the number of sewer blockages.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, in partnership with Rand Water, is conducting an education and awareness roadshow until June 12 in selected shopping centres around Ekurhuleni.

The roadshow, held under the theme “Be the Hero, Save Water”, aims to encourage communities to get involved in the fight against water loss and to reduce the number of sewer blockages.

“We all need to take a moment and do our bit to be water heroes by conserving water to ensure the future generation has enough water for tomorrow and beyond,” said the EMM’s spokesperson, Mr Themba Gadebe.

Various promotional items were handed out during the roadshow and residents who took part in the competitions were provided with educational and useful household items that will assist in the fight against water loss.
