Little Eden thanked all the individuals, corporates, schools and church groups who chose to spend their 67 minutes for Mandela Day with them on July 17.
“The day started early with visitors coming in with gifts of clothing, toys, monetary contributions and eats for the residents. The visitors spent their valuable 67 minutes interacting with residents, assisting in feeding residents and were given an opportunity to make their mark by placing a fingerprint on a canvas at the entrance.
“The fingerprint canvas will be displayed on the wall at Little Eden as a memento of this special day and as acknowledgement of the contribution of the community to the work of Little Eden,” said Ms Nichollette Muthige, from Little Eden.
Little Eden is grateful for the Mandela Day initiative as it encourages people around the world to get up and take action with the aim of helping those less fortunate.
