Fundraising for guide dogs

The Lions Club held a fundraiser on July 18 to sponsor guide dog training.

The Lions Club, with support from The Doors Club, invited friends, family and the community to support the fundraiser.
Ms Sue Van Der Walt, a member of the Lions Club, said that raising money for guide dogs would be beneficial for people who are blind or have disabilities.
“What we do is a small portion to assist our community. We are thankful for the support we have received thus far,” said Ms Van der Walt.
The manager of The Doors Nightclub, Mr Conrad Roets, said he was excited to be a part of a fundraiser to train guide dogs.
“My team and I are happy to help with such a unique fundraiser,” said Mr Roets.
