Local celebrity brightens children’s evening
A local television personality surprised children during a recent fundraiser.
Edenvale resident and loved television star for his role as the friendly chef in 7de Laan, Mr Jacques Blignaut, visited the Ebenezer Congregational Church in Boksburg recently.
He surprised over 40 children and 100 parents in support of their fundraiser.
The church held a fundraiser and children took part in a modelling show.
“I am happy to be here and to help the Sunday school,” said Mr Blignaut.
He was surprised by the talent he had seen at the show and was more than happy to crown the winners of the show.
The local star enjoys supporting community events and uses his acting talents to inspire those around him.
“Working on 7de Laan for 10 years now has made me realise a lot about myself. The most important thing being that I want to use my talent more to serve God,” he said.
His love for acting started when he was in grade 6 at Christians Brothers College.
