Victim hijacked at Jumpers

The man was driving his Toyota Hilux bakkie towards the informal settlement when the incident occurred.

A man was hijacked by three men in a white Golf as he was entering the Jumpers Informal Settlement in Cleveland.

The incident occurred on August 7, shortly after 8pm.

The Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said the man was driving his Toyota Hilux bakkie towards the informal settlement when the incident occurred.

“A Golf stopped in front of his car, forcing him to stop. Three men exited the vehicle and one of the suspects had a gun in his hand. He ordered the driver to get out of the car. Two suspects entered the bakkie while the third suspect returned to the Golf. They then drove off in the two vehicles,” said Const Mashakane.
