Jeppe shines in design competition

Lizan Potgieter from grade 11 was the grand winner in the front page category with Vision of Johannesburg in 2055.

Jeppe High School for Girls produced winning entries for the third consecutive year in the recent The Star’s Design-an-ad competition.

59 pupils from grade 10 to 12 entered the competition.

Three of Jeppe’s pupils were acknowledged.

Lizan Potgieter from grade 11 was the grand winner in the front page category with Vision of Johannesburg in 2055.

She took inspiration from the current priorities of the city on health, HIV and Aids, transport, foreign investment and education.

Jodi Lailvaux from grade 12 took third place with her ad in the grade 10 to 12 category for Adams Discount Centre.

Chantelle Schoultz in grade 11 was acknowledged for her ad for the Adams Discount Centre.

The school also received R5 000 in prize money.
