Residents relieved as water is restored

"That does not mean we are out of the woods. Availability is still very scarce and we need to do everything to conserve," said Clr Humphreys.

Bedfordview residents are relieved to have water after facing a week of dry taps.

Ward 20 councillor, Clr Jill Humphries said the situation is looking better.

She said both theĀ Signal Hill and Malvern East reservoirs were refilling during her visit with engineers.

“We are still on bypass feed from the Signal Hill Reservoir, but that too is doing well. It was great to hug those huge pipes and feel the water coursing strongly through them and into our reservoirs. That does not mean we are out of the woods.

“Availability is still very scarce and we need to do everything to conserve,” said Clr Humphreys.
