A baker by chance

An Edenhaven resident explained her love for icing and decorating.

Ms Evelyn Allison said while growing up, her mother loved baking and decided to attend a professional class.

“My mother didn’t go to the class and I went in her place. Ever since then my passion for baking continued to grow,” she said.

She said she only remembers spending time in her kitchen preparing cakes for weddings and parties.

Ms Allison said she keeps her memories in an album filled with all the cakes she’s baked.

“My life can be summed up in an album I keep. I baked night and day, not only to keep the orders going, but to ensure I spent every second of the day doing what I love,” she said.
