The Edenvale SAPS confirmed that Illiondale and the Avenues were recently hard hit by criminals targeting residents for their vehicles.
“We can confirm that two incidents of hijacking took place in Illiondale recently,” said the spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Warrant Officer Jean Olckers.
He added that the Avenues was another hard-hit area.
“We also had a report of a hijacking incident in Hurlyvale,” said W/O Olckers.
Residents are advised to take care when leaving or arriving at their homes.
