A manhunt has been launched for two men who escaped after last night’s shoot-out.

It is believed the four suspects were involved in armed robberies targeted at people travelling to and from OR Tambo International Airport.

Last night an exchange of gunfire between the SAPS and the suspects took place in Klopperpark and Croydon.

The police chase is believed to have started on the N12 before eventually ending in the Croydon area.

One suspect was killed, a second was critically injured and two escaped.

Three firearms were recovered.
