Earlier this morning EMER-G-MED paramedics attended to a fatal collision on the R24 East in Bedfordview.

The events preceding the collision are unclear, but on arrival paramedics found a badly damaged vehicle wrapped around a pole on the side of the highway.

The driver of the vehicle was declared dead on the scene.

Local authorities were on-scene to investigate.
