Traffic circle opened to the public

“Although there were technical glitches, the project was completed”.

Construction on the Laurie Road traffic circle has been completed and the circle was officially opened to the public this afternoon.

Plans for the circle were put in place to allow for access and better traffic flow, to prevent road users from speeding and reduce accidents.

The project was started in 2013.

MMC of Roads and Transport for Ekurhuleni Petrus Mhlari claimed that the department aims to “talk less and do more” while listening to the interests of the people.

“Although there were technical glitches, the project was completed” said Mhlari.

Councillor Bill Rundle who spoke on behalf of Councillor Heather Hart stated that the residents are thankful, he said that it was a “magnificent example of what can be achieved”.

“Good planning leads to good endings” stated Clr Rundle.
