Donate a book this World Book Day

April is a significant month for literature as the world celebrates World Book Day on April 23.

World Book Day is a day to celebrate literature and to promote reading across the world.
Hirsch’s Meadowdale is celebrating World Book Day by collecting and donating children’s books to the Tembisa Child and Family Welfare Society. The welfare, which looks after abandoned, abused, neglected, lost and orphaned children has recently stared a family literacy project to improve reading.

The community is urged to bring in old and new books to Hirsch’s Meadowdale store.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our store to give back and hopefully help the children in need towards a better education. This donation will come as some great help to the welfare,” said Letitia, public relations officer for Hirsch’s Meadowdale.

For more information on how you can donate, contact Letitia on 011 657 2400.
