The ward results in the Edenvale and Bedfordview areas are in with the Democratic Alliance taking ward 36.

The results for ward 36 shows 80.32 percent for the DA followed by the ANC with 12.36 percent and the EFF with 3.91 percent.

Voting at ward 36’s various voting stations were as follows:

• Die Presidents Laerskool – DA received 83.70 percent.
• Germiston High School – DA received 64.45 percent.
• Primrose Hill Primary – 88.17 percent.
• Primrose Primary School – 73.31 percent.
• Sunnyridge Primary School – 91.05 percent.
• Wychwood Primary School – 78.33 percent
