Artist to demonstrate talent
"It is a great joy for me to be able to share my love for art with others."
Artist and art teacher, Ms Paula Birbeck, will demonstrate watercolour painting on September 17 at the Edenvale Community Centre.
Ms Birbeck will do the demonstration using mixed media and different techniques.
“It is a great joy for me to be able to share my love for art with others. Teaching art is my passion and I am very fortunate to still be doing so,” said Ms Birbeck.
Ms Birbeck has taught art for 30 years, studied art and has been a member of both the Watercolour Society and Artists Under the Sun.
Her paintings can be seen hanging in South African embassies around the world.
Ms Birbeck has also taken part in art exhibitions in South Africa and Germany.
The watercolour demonstration for the Paint & Palette Group will take place at the Edenvale Community Centre on the corner of Van Riebeeck Avenue and Second Street.
The demonstration will begin at 1.30pm for 2pm.
Entrance fee is R50 for visitors and R20 for members. This will include refreshments.
