Jazz band entertains residents

Quondam Retirement Village residents recently spent their Saturday afternoon tapping their feet and swinging to the rhythm provided by East Rand jazz band, Notes Unlimited.
Notes Unlimited, a classic jazz band that has performed across the city for over 30 years, entertained and delighted residents with their unique blend of comedy and classic show tunes.
They delivered their second performance of the year at the Quondam Retirement Village’s community centre.
The band had audience members out of their seats, dancing and singing along to their favourite songs.
Ms Yvonne Tonini, head of the committee’s entertainment portfolio, was thrilled to have the band perform for the residents a second time.
“Residents have been pleading to have the band perform here again and they certainly weren’t disappointed,” said Ms Tonini.
