Quondam Retirement Village residents recently spent their Saturday afternoon tapping their feet and swinging to the rhythm provided by East Rand jazz band, Notes Unlimited.
Edenvale resident Ms Venesio Breedt joined long-time friend and Quondam Retirement Village resident Ms Trix Lubbe and Ms Norma Massey to enjoy an afternoon with the outstanding musical talents of jazz band, Notes Unlimited.
Quondam Retirement Village residents recently spent their Saturday afternoon tapping their feet and swinging to the rhythm provided by East Rand jazz band, Notes Unlimited.
Notes Unlimited, a classic jazz band that has performed across the city for over 30 years, entertained and delighted residents with their unique blend of comedy and classic show tunes.
They delivered their second performance of the year at the Quondam Retirement Village’s community centre.
The band had audience members out of their seats, dancing and singing along to their favourite songs.
Ms Yvonne Tonini, head of the committee’s entertainment portfolio, was thrilled to have the band perform for the residents a second time.
“Residents have been pleading to have the band perform here again and they certainly weren’t disappointed,” said Ms Tonini.
Quondam Retirement Village residents Ms Virginia Bakker and Ms Christa Bartels were quick to make their way to the dance floor. They enjoyed the band’s performance.

Ms Rita Bozzone, a 95-year-old Bedfordview resident and a guest of Quondam Retirement Village resident Ms Sandy Renwick, was quick to accept an invitation from the band to join them on the dance floor.
Quondam Retirement Village resident, Ms Iris Steenkamp and her friend Ms Loraine Mackeand spent most of the afternoon in stitches, enjoying the sometimes comedic performances from members of the band.
Quondam Retirement Village residents Ms Joan and Mr Barry Karg enjoyed the performance of well-known East Rand jazz band Notes Unlimited, surrounded by friends in the village’s community centre.
Quondam Retirement Village manager, Ms Liz Figueirinha attended the intimate show held at the village’s community centre with her husband, Mr Jorge Figueirinha.
