It was double trouble for St Alban’s College in their 1st team cricket 50-over match against Jeppe High School for Boys, when Jeppe’s identical twins Katlego and Tebogo Thena almost single-handedly secured the victory for Jeppe.
Jeppe batted first and was bowled out for just 115 but it could have been worse if it was not for Katlego’s fighting innings of 43 not out. And it was looking ominous for Jeppe when St Albans’ openers got to 23 for no loss by lunch. However, not to be outdone by his twin brother, Tebogo, with ball in hand, annihilated the opposition’s batting line-up taking 5/21 off just 8.3 overs.
St Albans were routed for 115 giving Jeppe a 32-run victory.
