Jeppe High School for Boys’ elite athletics team participated in the Top 10 TUKS championship in Pretoria.
The team performed extremely well, achieving a credible third place overall out of the 10 boys’ schools competing.
Four exceptional performances were achieved on the day.
Lesedi Moloto came first in the U14 long jump and broke the record with a jump of 6.41m. He also came third in the U14 100m hurdles in a time of 00.13.73.
Andiswa Mndebele won the U14 300m hurdles in a time of 00.41.24 and came second in the U14 100m hurdles ( 00.13.59).
Mzwakhe Mashaba came first in the U15 3 000m in a record-breaking time of 00.09.06. He also ran in the 1 500m race where he came fifth.
Hankug Tae Joo won the U16 triple jump with a jump of 12.59m.
