Police on high alert following looting in Jeppe

Ward 66 councillor Carlos Da Rocha has urged community members to stay out of Jeppe following reports of looting.

According to reports from EWN police are on high alert in Jeppestown after a group of hostel dwellers looted foreign-owned shops.

Authorities say the group took to the streets on Sunday night, warning foreigners to leave the area.

Police are currently monitoring the area.
