UPDATE – The 6.7 Magnitude Earthquake effects was felt throughout Southern Africa.

It originated near Gaborone. The earthquake lasted approximately 30 seconds.

Reports came in from George in the Western Cape Province, Free State Province, Gauteng Province, KwaZulu-Natal Province.

The NEWS has had reports of another tremor this evening shortly before 8pm.

Edenvale journalist Stephan Lehman reported feeling the tremor in Benoni.

Others have also reported feeling the tremor in Centurion.

This morning a 5.2 magnitude earthquake was registered outside Stillfontein.
