Radio runs through Melissa’s veins
JOBURG - Hillbrow Radio's Melissa has big plans for her future.
Melissa Nxumalo (23) from Bez Valley loves being a volunteer radio presenter at Hillbrow Radio.
She has been working at the radio station for the past three years and said it has turned out to be the best time of her life.
“Working as a radio presenter has made me grow and educated me as a motivational speaker and presenter. I desire to see myself being involved in more youth development programmes,” said Nxumalo.
The presenter also said she was busy with a programme that gives sanitation pads to girls in the community.
Nxumalo said she is also a DJ and will release a deep house music album with a gospel fusion mix.
“I want to include some gospel music in my album as I’m a born again Christian under the leadership of apostle Bushiri,” she explained.
She added that local celebrity Bonang Matheba inspires her. “My vision is to be known to the youth out there and to bring a change with motivational speeches.”
