The Rotary Club of Bedfordview‘s Rotarians, as well as guests, enjoyed an evening with guest speaker John Harty on May 23.
Harty enlightened guests on the ins and outs of bees.
The event was held at the Belgravia Bowling Club in Bedfordview.
Harty has been a hobby beekeeper for the past five years.
He gave an interesting and informative presentation which included various videos.

Harty explained that the difference between raw and pure honey, as marketed, is that raw honey is straight out of the hive with no heat or irradiation, while pure honey is heated but not irradiated.
Rotarian Bill Viggers introduced the guest speaker and Rotarian Ken Bromfield thanked the speaker and presented him with a gift.
