Blood bank and 947 join forces with Eastgate blood drive

June 23 saw radio station 947 and the South African Blood Bank join forces for a blood drive at Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Dressed according to the theme of “Superheroes”, radio hosts Greg and Lucky broadcast their show live from the Strelitzia Court.

The Organ and Tissue Donor Foundation hosted an awareness stand at the event.

The stand was manned by volunteers Jackie Allen and Julie Reilly-Day, from Edenvale.
