Grade Seven youngsters from Leicester Road Primary School in Kensington made it to the semi-finals of the City of Johannesburg Science Scuffle competition.

According to the school’s communication’s officer Kerry-Anne Faller, the youngsters competed in the schools’ round at Rhodes Park Library, on March 16, and the regional round at Southdale Library, on May 23.

The annual competition promotes science, technology, engineering and mathematics and provides a platform for learners to unleash their academic potential in an environment that encourages teamwork.

“The school is extremely proud as it is the first time that we have entered the competition,” said Faller.
