Park Meadows refreshing the centre

BEDFORDVIEW shopping centre bringing art to shoppers.

Park Meadows Shopping Centre is revamping sections of its centre.

To ensure shopping is made bearable for shoppers, the centre brought in grafitti artist, Byron Guenther to do art work on the iron sheet at the redevelopment site.

“We are refreshing the centre and iron sheets were put up around the mini golf course and it did not look very presentable. We decided to create something exciting to view while refreshing and the graffiti@the park project was born.

“We got shoppers involved by asking them to take selfies and to share their thoughts on the art work” explained Park Meadows marketing manager, Leo Van Straten.

The minigolf course will be replaced by parking and new shops.

Van Straten said, “It’s an exciting time for the centre – we needed to refresh and bring in some exciting stuff. Like any revamp, it can be messy but we thank our shoppers for being understanding and excited about the graffiti@the park project. It was well received.”

The revamp will take a period of three months.
