1st Bedfordview Scout Troop visits Cullinan

As part of the Scouting programme Scouts are taught skills which enable them to organise and go on hikes, camps and other expeditions

Members of the Sable patrol from the 1st Bedfordview Scout Troop recently embarked on an exciting visit to a diamond mine in Cullinan using a steam locomotive.

Michael Omand, Mandla Green, Aragorn Young, PJ Van Der Walt, Jarod Nunn and Michael Westhoff with the steam locomotive to Cullinan.

During the trip the Scouts were interviewed by Derek Watts of Carte Blanche.

The trip was organised by Patrol Leader Michael Omand as part of his Explorer Badge, the last badge before he attempts his Springbok Scout Award.
