Children’s Care Foundation in Bez Valley in desperate need of help
BEZ VALLEY– The organisation was started by Mary Elbadry, who herself was a victim abuse.
Children’s Care Foundation, a non-profit organisation for underprivileged, abused children and women in Bez Valley, is in need of donations.

“I was physically abused by my stepfather and my sister. I understand the struggle these women face on a daily basis. Every bit of assistance to them, means a lot,” said Mary.
The NGO is only two years old and has not been able to secure enough sponsors to provide for all its needs.
She currently provides groceries to the underprivileged women and children in Bez Valley.

“We need donations – we are struggling. Anything of use, from food parcels, clothes, toiletries, formula for babies and blankets, will be welcome,” said Mary.
Her wish is to obtain a property where she can open a home for abused women and children.
“The funds we raise also go towards our savings for a safe home. We need a proper home for the children and women because they have nowhere to go and need that support system,” explained Mary.
She also called for volunteers to assist in identifying households that need assistance.
“I need volunteers with a passion for helping others – people who are willing to go to these women and offer help. It is not easy work to do because of some of the situations you come across,” said Mary.
“We want to thank Standard Bank head office for their donation and Cyrildene resident Mr Denis for his donation. It will make a difference to 30 families. We invite others in the area who would like to support us to contact me. We need all the help we can get,” said Mary.
