Talented local learners

The five performers, Eleni Doucas, Andrea Vakis, Christina Giokos, Irini Karpathakis and Jemma Lappin, achieved a diploma for their efforts.

Five Grade Two learners from Saheti School recently participated in the National Eisteddfod of South Africa.

The learners performed on October 7 as the group Cirque des Jolies and performed an acrobatics routine in the character category.

The five performers, Eleni Doucas, Andrea Vakis, Christina Giokos, Irini Karpathakis and Jemma Lappin, achieved a diploma for their efforts.

On the same day the learners were awarded a gold medal for their participation in the American Dance Awards (ADA).

At the ADA the learners received an award for a clean and well-rehearsed routine.

The group was chosen to participate in the dance-offs the following day.

On October 8 the girls were one of eight groups which competed in the 12-and-under small group category.
