EHS has a giving heart

Doctor Larry Harmer, principal of EHS, encouraged all learners to volunteer in community service activities.

With the help of Edenvale High School, grade 10 learner, Ashleigh Ross is completing her silver level President’s Award.

The school recently held an animal welfare initiative organised by Ashleigh for an internationally recognised youth empowerment programme.

Ashleigh was assisted by Mrs Hartel and the school’s RCLs.

Donations were collected for the Sandton SPCA, ARK Animal Centre and Pug Rescue.

Tanner Mundy, a Grade Eight learner, contributed the most to the welfare project.

The President’s Award requires participants to do community service and assist the community. It was founded by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1956.
