Michelle and Ashton Arende show their support for the Edenvale Care Centre and Hospice.
In recent months Edenvale Care Centre and Hospice has been in desperate need of financial assistance.
Following an article in the NEWS in which the centre appealed for aid, support from the community has started to pour in.
Angela and David Leyshon of Specichem recently hosted a fundraising event at which over R100 000 was raised for the centre.
The event was held at Edenvale’s indoor soccer arena on November 25.
“In October we were really in trouble. The centre needed help,” said Sister Leigh of the care centre.
The main objective of the event was to make sure the centre has a stress-free December and January.
Angela and her brother have always supported the care centre.
“Sister Leigh is such a caring, compassionate women; she does such a good job at the centre,” said Angela.
