A woman was left seriously injured this morning following a three-vehicle collision on the N3 northbound highway after the Linksfield turnoff in Linksfield.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the vehicles in the middle of the highway. Traffic had already begun to backup due to the collision.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that a woman had sustained serious injuries to her back.

Paramedics treated the woman and provided her with pain-relief medication before she was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a private hospital.

The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
