It has a collection of 107 000 types of various media comprising books, magazines, newspapers, educational toys and audio-visual media.

Edenvale Community Library strives to inform, enrich and empower community members by promoting access to a variety of media and information.

Management and staff members are committed to providing excellent service to the community.

Head librarian is Peter Mokgotho.

The library has three sections, namely adult, children and reference.

It has a collection of 107 000 types of various media comprising books, magazines, newspapers, educational toys and audio-visual media.

Library users have access to free internet usage.

Public usage computers are available for the typing of CVs and other documents.

In addition to the three sections the library offers:

• A book slot which allows customers to return books while the library is closed.

• Pressreader to allow community members to read newspapers online.

• Overdrive, an Ebook system.

Membership for Ekurhuleni ratepayers is free, upon presentation of proof of a physical address and a positive ID.

The annual fee for non-residents is R110 per adult and R60 per pensioner or minor.
