April grateful for the 2018 USA soccer ID Tour

I will use what I learnt in America here.

Jaudyn April has returned from the 2018 USA soccer ID Tour.

April is from Jeppe High School for Boys and was among a group of children who were selected for the 2018 USA Soccer ID Tour.

The focus of the tour was to directly expose the selected talented students-athletes to college and high school coaches all over the USA.

The twelve-day USA tour offered the selected elite players from South Africa and Zimbabwe the opportunity to visit key cities on the east coast, and to be seen by the top US College coaches and pro academy teams; train in exquisite locations; play against top college soccer prospects as well as experience some of the USA’s cultural, scenic and historical treasures.

The ultimate goal was to allow players an opportunity to be scouted for places on the great college or high school teams, and to expose their talent.

He said the trip was amazing and an eye opener for him.

“We participated in two different soccer showcases where scouts from different colleges and schools attended. I am now back home to my normal life. I will use what I learnt in America here,” he said.

Organising coach of the USA tour Thabani Sitole said he is grateful to Jaudyn’s parents for allowing him to be a part of the trip.

“Jaudyn has done a fantastic job both on and off the field. He’s a very determined and confident young man,” he said.
