Thornhill Manor’s 17th anniversary was celebrated with a non-denominational thanksgiving service in the on-site chapel.
It was followed by a brunch on August 10.
“It was the most uplifting morning, with a wonderful thanksgiving service given by Clive Locke of the Presbyterian Church of Edenvale.

“The sing-a-long was wonderful to hear, with resident Gretha Pecoraro on the piano and duets by Brian Burls and Enid Dixon,” said Esmé Erasmus, manager of Rand Aid-run retirement village.
Champagne and orange juice was given and a three-course brunch was prepared by Rand Aid’s in-house catering division Cookchill.
