Conservation society events for September
The Modderfontein Conservation Society will host four events in September.

On Sunday, September 9 and 23, there will be a walk through the reserve.
The walk will start at 8.30am and participants are asked to meet at the Fish Eagle Dam 15 minutes before the walk is due to start.
The walks will cost R10 per person and visitors are welcome.

Those wanting to take part are also asked to take note that there is a conservation fee of R30 for adults and R15 for children and pensioners entering the reserve.
On Thursday, September 20, the Modderfontein Conservation Society evening talk will take place at the Town Hall.
The event will start at 7.30pm and guest speaker for the night will be Jonathan Stone who will chat about the Heritage Impact Assessments with the spotlight on Sprinkell.
The cost for the evening will be R30 per person.

On Monday, September 24, the society will host its annual Heritage Day walks around the Heritage Precinct of historic Modderfontein.

There will also be a visit to the Dynamite Company Museum and Franz Hoenig Haus.
The event will cost R50 per person and there are limited spaces available so bookings are essential.
