Come enjoy Uitkoms Home for Girls’ golf day
Krause said they have a few more balls up for sponsorship and are calling on people to sponsor a hole or offer donations for prizes.
The Uitkoms Home for Girls in Observatory will host its third annual charity golf day and are calling on golfers for support.
The day will be held on September 27 at the Parkview Golf Club and will be a platform for the organisation to raise much-needed funds to assist in its running costs.
“It costs approximately R5 000 per month to look after a girl at the home. So the Golf Day will assist in the schooling, feeding and housing of a girl,” said marketing consultant for the organisation Tanya Krause.
Krause said they have a few more balls up for sponsorship and are calling on people to sponsor a hole or offer donations for prizes.

She added that, following last year’s charity golf day, which saw the organisation raise R80 000, Uitkoms Home for Girls are looking forward to the upcoming event.
“Your support will help us to care for the 20 teenage girls currently in our care. It will also give us the opportunity to help more girls who have come from abusive or neglected situations, wanting to create a better future for themselves.”
