Highland dancers shine in championships
The top achievers at the competition included Alicia Walters placed third in the 16 to 20 age category and Megan Moore who placed fifth in the same category.
Several dancers from the Shaw Butler Studio recently participated in the South African Highland Dancing Championships.
The top achievers at the competition included Alicia Walters who was placed third in the 16 to 20 age category and Megan Moore placed fifth in the same category.
Additionally, Megan was also placed third in the 16 to 20 age category for the SA National Premiership.

Kirstyn Walker achieved fourth place in the SA Highland Championship and third place in the SA Scottish Premiership for the age group seven to 11.
Kayleigh Wright placed fifth in the SA Highland Dancing Championship and sixth in the SA Scottish National Premiership competitions for the age group seven to 11 years.

Kianna Pinto Duarte achieved a sixth place in the SA Highland Dancing Championship and fifth in the SA Scottish National Premiership for the seven to 11 age category.
Boipelo Maphoto achieved first in the Scottish National Intermediate section of the competition.

Layla Johnson was placed first in the Highland Dancing Novice Section and well as the Scottish National Novice Section.
Claire Thompson was placed first in the Highland Dancing Beginners Section of the competition.
