Taalnet learners embrace the arts

The festival had 11 Taal-net Group of schools from South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The Taal-net Group of Schools’ International Arts Festival was held on the October 12 at Taal-net School Meadowdale.

The festival had 11 Taal-net Group of Schools from South Africa and Zimbabwe taking part.

They were Taal-net Beula Park, Taal-net St John’s Randburg, Taal-net New Dawn Hazeyview, New Harvard College Kempton Park, Taal-International School Johannesburg, Taal-net Glen Austin Pretoria and Taal-net Glendale Zimbabwe.

Marketing director Aaron Chandiwana said the festival is reliant on sponsorship from the school itself.

“The programme comprised of art as an expression of creativity and/or imagination where students showcased their talent for a future career. This can be the beginning of a career for some students,” said Chandiwana.

The festival held a competition and was judged based on performances.
