Boogie-woogie pianist pays visit to Assumption

Sights and sounds of Swiss pianist woo Assumption faithful.

Assumption Convent School recently welcomed a mesmerising performance by boogie-woogie pianist Silvan Zingg at their high school.

Hailing all the way from Switzerland, the sights and sounds of Zingg went down particularly well with the high school’s music learners courtesy of South African jazz impresario Anthony Yoko.

An educator at the school, Rob Stewardson, who expressed profound jubilation at Zingg’s masterclass, said, “We were all amazed at his skill, flair, musicality and hilarious sense of humour. He really enjoyed being at Assumption and we are happy to know that he hopes to visit us again later in the year.”
