Toys R Us South Africa announced the first group of 2019 ambassadors to be selected for the annual national TRUper initiative.
Jonathan Jackson, a Grade Four learner at Eastleigh Primary, was selected as one of the Toys R Us Gauteng ambassadors in March.
He was rewarded with a R500 gift voucher, a certificate of honour and an official TRUper cap and badge.
TRUper 2019 called for nominations from school teachers and peers to recognise a child who exemplifies always doing good.
These children served as role models to their peers and fostered a culture of spreading more love and kindness among the youth.

Deputy principal and teacher Hanelene Muller said Jonathan is a well-mannered, helpful, hard-working and honest child.
“Helpful both to fellow learners and teachers with any task at hand, he is a child who will appreciate anything that is given to him, however small it may be.
“His work is always neat and he strives to give of his best,” said Muller.
Jonathan defied the odds and excelled in his schooling.
Despite challenges at home, his dedication and enthusiasm towards his schoolwork shine in his outstanding academic results.
