Memorial walk hosted to raise funds

Dickie Fritz Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTH) Shellhole held a memorial walk on the June 1 in Dowerglen.

The walk was a fund-raiser and residents and their families attended the walk in support of the organisation.

Old Bill Leon Apicella, who is the chairperson, said most residents have limited income and they only get social grants, which is not a lot to sustain the complex’s expenses.

A short introduction by Old Bill Leon saw the ex-servicemen and their families bow and salute in memory of the fallen soldiers.

The community showed support by taking part in the walk.
