EMPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a suspected drug dealer in Klopperpark who was found to be in possession of R25 000 worth of various drugs.

The 34-year-old-male was arrested on July 2 after officers revived information about the suspect and his description.

The arrest was made at a car wash where it was believed he operated from.

“Officers discovered 28 ziplock bags of khat and two packets of crystal methamphetamine weighing 65,92 grams,” said EMPD spokesperson Chief Sup Wilfred Kgasago.

“Money amounting to R1,450, believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics, was also confiscated.”

The 34-year-old suspect who was arrested in Klopperpark on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics.

The man was arrested on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics and detained at Edenvale Police Station.

The suspect was expected to make his first appearance at Edenvale Magistrate Court yesterday (July 3).
