To celebrate the launch of its 600th store, Steers partnered up with Fireman’s Tavern in Modderfontein for a night of heat and celebration.
Held at the SA Emergency Care’s grounds on June 28, the event saw community members, young and old, visit the special burnout of Steer’s flame logo.

The wooden structure constructed by Jacques van der Merwe of Xtreme Sets and SFX Setbuilders stood several metres tall on the burnout platform.
Once lit by Steers’ marketing executive, Adolf Fourie, community members were left in awe of the size and heat of the burnout.

Despite the large flames, firefighters were on hand to keep the blaze under control and demonstrate and explain the process of extinguishing a fire to the community.
