Saheti School Grade 10 life sciences learners recently spent the day at the RMPRU Vaccine Preventable Diseases Unit at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

World-renowned scientist Prof Shabir Madhi gave the learners a talk on vaccines and related research.
The learners gained hands-on experience with injecting vaccines into oranges and watched a Sonographer do an ultrasound on a pregnant woman.
The learners also processed some bacterial samples in the lab.
