Executive mayor Cllr Mzwandile Masina announced that several of the City of Ekurhuleni’s public pools will remain open this holiday season
Masina said this during his speech at the final sitting of the City of Ekurhuleni’s Council on November 28 at Germiston Council Chambers.
He said the busiest pools, especially in townships will remain open during the holiday season except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
“We urge our communities to use these facilities with care, uncouth behaviour will not be allowed.”
Masina stressed that public swimming pools are not areas for alcohol consumption and picnicking.
“Our children use these facilities and we must protect them and keep them clean.”
Edenvale Public Swimming Pool is located on Seventeenth Avenue.
The pool opens at 10am and closes at 5pm.
